Are electronic signatures legally valid for employment agreements in New Zealand?

Yes, in most cases. Part 4 of the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 lets a legal requirement for a signature be met electronically when the signature identifies the signer, shows their approval and is reliable enough for the purpose.
