Add your documents and recipients to a draft package, then continue to fields. Each document has its own tab.

Drag signature, auto-fill and input fields onto your documents in the field editor. Each field belongs to one signer, so everyone sees exactly what they need to complete.
Signature, auto-fill and input fields. Drag on Signature and Initial fields, auto-fill fields such as Date signed and Name, and inputs like Text, Checkbox, Radio and Dropdown.
Assigned to a signer. Choose a signer, then place their fields. Each recipient's fields are colour-coded, so you can see who owns what across the document.
Template fields by role. On a template the same canvas assigns fields to a role such as Client or Manager. You name the actual people when you send.
Merge fields printed on PDFs. Place a template's merge fields on its PDFs to print values that change per send, like a client's name or a start date.
Conditional logic. Show, hide or require a field depending on the signer's answer to a checkbox, radio group or dropdown. Test the logic before you send.
Custom fields for your own data. Define fields that senders fill in on every package, such as an employee ID. The value carries through to the API and webhooks under its key.

Pick a signer and drag field types onto the page. Move, resize and select several at once, then set each field's properties.

No. If a PDF already contains form fields, the field editor offers an Import form fields button. Click the form fields you want to bring in, then import them.
Merge fields on PDFs are available on templates only, not on packages built from scratch. Create the merge fields in the template's setup, then place them in the template field editor. A placed merge field belongs to no recipient and is printed into the signed PDF.
Hidden fields are never required and leave nothing on the signed PDF. Rules only link fields that belong to the same signer, and they can chain up to five levels deep. Rules set on a template carry through to every package sent from it.
Conditional logic is included on the Solo plan and above. Custom fields need the Enterprise plan, and managing them needs the manage custom fields permission. Placing signing fields in the field editor is part of creating any package. See pricing for details.
